Of greenery and beaches

Hi guys

I visited three beautiful cities in Kerela and Tamil Nadu last year in December. Though I have shared a lot of pictures on social media, I wanted to publish a travel edit about all the three places too because they were absolutely beautiful! In fact, most of the places in south India are absolutely beautiful. I haven’t updated the travel section in a while and will post another travel post this week. 🙂

The first city was Trivandrum. I visited a lot of beaches while I was there and most of you know how much I love beaches! And tbh, India has the best beaches ever.
I visited almost all the beaches in Singapore but they were not even nearly as good as Indian beaches.

This picture was taken from a motor boat.in Kovalam beach.  I spent most of my time on this beach because it was around 2 minutes away from the resort. I stayed in a beach view resort and loved waking up to this beautiful view for two days! ❤ My favourite part of this beach was that it was super clean and despite being a tourist attraction it was not very crowded.

And I also visited the backwaters in Trivandrum and had a mid day snack on a floating restaurant. Also there was a temple in Trivandrum called Sree Padmanabhaswamy (Yeah! That’s a pretty big name) which I visited. I do not have any picture of it because photography was prohibited there but I really wanted to share it with all of you. The architecture of that place is beautiful and everybody has to wear a ‘lungi’ before entering the temple. (I did too.) xD I also visited the zoo and a museum.

The zoo was so pretty and green! And I don’t know why but they had an awful lot of monkeys. One of the monkeys even posed for us as you can see in the picture above. 😀

The second city that I visited was Poovar. I went for a backwaters cruise there and it was so peaceful.

(Poovar backwaters)

It was a two or three hour boat ride and I even got to drive the boat (I did not do a very good job). And we also ate on a floating restaurant. And I rode a horse for the first time in my life ON A BEACH which was super cool and super scary! The entire backwaters cruise was absolutely amazing. ❤

The last city that I visited was Kanyakumari (Tamil Nadu). On my way to Kanyakumari I visited a 100 year (or more) old palace called Padmanabhapuram.

This palace was really interesting. It is one of those ancient places that always amaze you no matter how disinterested you might be in the beginning. The furniture in there was centuries old and was still better than the furniture in my room!

Also I visited India’s first wax museum in Kanyakumari. My favorite part was the 3D room. We spent around an hour in the 3D room clicking pictures. How about I just let the pictures do the talking for this one!

I couldn’t get a very good picture of the memorial because I was in a ferry and it was moving a lot (obviously!) This place had a great view too! I can’t imagine how Vivekanand swam all the way to that rock!
Life Advise- If you ever visit this place, do not wear a hat, a saree and please for the love of God, do not wear a skirt!
It was so windy (for obvious reasons). I left my hair open and I can’t tell you about the struggle. So I ll show you guys. This is me trying to get a decent picture up there.

IMG_3385I don’t know if it’s so clear in the picture below but you can actually see the Indian ocean, bay of Bengal and the Arabian see meeting from up there.IMG_3401

The last place in Kanyakumari that I visited was the sunset point! AND IT WAS SOOO BEAUTIFUL! I have never seen anything so beautiful and peaceful ever!

IMG_3295I almost missed the sunset but thank God I reached there in time!

This is all from my Kerela trip. All of you should go there at least once in your life. Also all the pictures are unedited and captured in natural day light. I might not be the best photographer but I try!

Don’t forget to subscribe and like this post. Also let me know what you think of it.
Thanks for reading! ❤
