Back to basics

We all love wearing our fancy tops and shirts every now and then, but we always keep coming back to our basic T shirts, don’t we?
Basics are my wardrobe essentials and as I always say, one should always invest in basics.
A basic shirt, top or even jeans can totally change your entire look.

Today’s post is about how you can wear your basic casual T shirt for a formal (yet a bit casual) look. I see a lot of casual, chic and street style outfits with T shirts but I don’t often see a formal or fancy look with them. Mostly because T shirts ARE casual and those are the outfits that first pop in you head when you see a T shirt! And that’s why I wanted to do something a bit different.

So I received this black tee from the The souled Store a few weeks ago. And in case you are wondering (which you probably are) what these numbers are on the T shirt, it’s the exact value of ‘pie’, which, according to me, is kinda cool!
The Tshirt is very minimal and exactly the kind that I like.

I paired it with a midi denim skirt and a long tan coat and strappy heels. I have to attend some meetings every now and then and I cant wear the mainstream formal outfits, basically because the meetings that I attend are not the typical formal office ones. And I have to put together an outfit that is formal but also casual. And this is definitely something that I would go for.

A basic tee can be styled in a 100 different ways and you definitely need one in your wardrobe. The souled store has a lot of variety in T shirts and you can check out their collection by clicking here. 🙂
