Hope you all had a great Diwali and were lucky enough to find something good to wear. But even if you didn’t, I hope you had friends and family around you to celebrate.
I have been seeing so many Diwali posts over the week and to be honest, a part of me was a little tired of them. Basically because I had bought my Diwali outfit last month because I am a little extra! Or maybe a lot extra!
So recently I received a very beautiful kurta from ShopClues and it’s exactly the kind of kurta I would buy from a store. The entire kurta is plain off white with detailed patches. And being a sucker of details, it quickly made into the list of my favourite kurtas.
It has a broad patch of flower like details on the side and also on the inside of the sleeves and also has pom pom details on the waist. The pom pom details are my favourite. Although I wish that it would tighten a bit on the waist to give some more detail and a cute little knot on the pom poms but it still looks good without it.
I paired the kurta with a maroon skirt and ethnic flats. I also carried a clutch to add some contrast to the look. And I wanted to wear these gorgeous silver earring but I recently got my ears pierced so its gonna take some time before I start wearing artificial jewellery. But these earring are definitely something I see myself wearing.
I also collaborated with a makeup artist from my city, Simran Taneja , who did an absolutely amazing job with the hair and makeup. I wanted the makeup to be subtle and different and thats exactly how it looked.
You can contact her for any details or queries here. 🙂
We went for a subtle smokey eye with a light contour and nude lips. And for my hair, we curled them first and then braided them on both sides and I love how cute it looks.
