The wedding look book

Hi guys

Hope you all are doing well! So it’s that time of the year again and the wedding season is already here. And while there are countless things that we need to decide during the wedding season but the most important is, WHAT TO WEAR! And I have the perfect solution for you.

Now the main wedding day isn’t the only day when you have to bring your ‘A game’ into dressing up. There are various other post/pre wedding functions where you have to look your best self! And today’s post is about ‘THE COCKTAIL LOOK.”

Cocktail parties are all about fun and drinking and a lot of dancing. And personally if I know that I am going to dance a lot somewhere, I would prefer to wear something rather comfortable.

When it comes to wedding outfits, I usually like to get the fabric of my choice and get it stitched but I think that’s going to change from now! I visited  Strawberry Fashion Studio a while ago and they had an amazing collection! The variety of designs and colours that they have to offer are huge! All of us have different preferences when it comes to ethnic clothes and Strawberry Fashion Studio has something for everybody.
They not only have lehengas with very heavy work but also plain yet stylish anarkalis for people who like to keep it simple. And the range of colours is also wide, from nudes to neon, they have a lot to offer.

I picked out this two piece outfit from their studio the last time I was there. As I mentioned earlier in the post, my ideal cocktail look would be something that is stylish and comfortable. And this outfit is both of them!

The blouse has very subtle silver details and white thread work. I love how the thread work is white and not a brighter colour. I feel like the white thread work is the essence of the outfit. The blouse also has cold shoulder sleeves which have been a major trend for almost an year now.

The bottom is a pant style skirt and has a very soft fabric. It again has silver detailing on the waist and silver beads details on the borders. Since this is a pant style skirt, I think I feel way more comfortable in it than I would in a lehenga or a sari.

The outfit does not fit me very well since it was one of their pre-stitched designs and wasn’t available in my size. But if they make an outfit for you or have one of their pre stitched designs in your size then I am sure it will fit perfectly (and you will know why I am so sure in the next post.)

I kept the accessories to a minimal with a classic watch and some silver bangles.

With the makeup I went for a very subtle and classy look. And so with the hair. I don’t enjoy heavy makeup a lot (esp during weddings) and I even like to keep my hair simple. And thanks to Simran Taneja, who always understand the kind of look I want and does the best job with my hair and makeup!
